The controller gives to the pilot control of the aircraft. It is also used to operate the camera and set the lighting parameters.
Controls the aircraft altitude and yaw.
Controls the aircraft horizontal motion (forward/backward, left/right).
Turns the Controller on/off and displays the battery level of the controller.
Indicates the connection status between the controller and Elios:
Clockwise, camera looks upward.
Counter clockwise, camera looks downward.
Horizontally levels the camera when pressed.
Changes the function of the EV/Lighting wheel when pressed. Press and hold while turning the EV/Lighting wheel to change the LED intensity.
- Sets the EV if the camera is in automatic mode
- Sets the Exposure Time if the camera is in manual low ISO mode or in manual high ISO mode
- While the FN button is pressed the wheel sets the onboard lighting intensity
Save a point of interest which can be reviewed after flight in the Flyability Inspector software. This does not save an image, but creates a bookmark in the log file. This can later be linked to the video with the Flyability Inspector software.
This toggles the video stream on the tablet from Visual video to Thermal video.
When pressed, Elios is in High-Speed mode. This increases the maximum airspeed to 7m/s in a straight line.

Connect to the controller charger to charge the internal battery of the controller. The battery can be charged during flight.
The tablet offers an interface to help you through your mission. It allows you to see the live video feed transmitted by the Elios’ camera, and to monitor important flight parameters.

Connects to the controller. Also used to recharge the tablet.
The USB cable is used to connect the Tablet to the Controller.
To charge the GCS, use the provided charger. The use of a non-approved charger may result in battery damage and risk of fire.
To charge the tablet, connect the USB cable to the USB port of the tablet. Put the other end of the cable to the USB wall charger. Plug the USB wall charger to the wall socket.
To charge the controller, connect the controller charger to the barrel jack of the controller. Plug the other end of the charger to the wall socket.
